Renad Al-Majd Group (RMG) organized the Fourth Forum for Developing Digital Transformation Practices in Saudi Arabia.

Renad Al-Majd Group (RMG) organized the fourth forum for the development of digital transformation practices at the Crowne Plaza Digital City Hotel on Wednesday.

The event took place in the Sultanah Halls and was attended by over 500 invited individuals, both male and female, representing government entities, digital transformation leaders, stakeholders in digital transformation, media representatives, and companies specializing in this field.

The forum has witnessed broad participation from experts and prominent speakers who presented specialized presentations and workshops covering the latest practices and frameworks in the digital transformation world, as well as methods to improve the results of digital transformation measurement in 2024.

The forum also highlighted the challenges facing government sectors during the digital transformation journey.

The forum was inaugurated by Engineer Majid Al-Zaghaibi, the General Manager of Digital Transformation and Information Technology at the General Authority for Food and Drugs, a leader in digital transformation with an ambitious career in several government entities.

In his speech, he stated, “Today, we are proud to have a visionary presence that prioritizes digital transformation.

As a result, the Kingdom has made significant progress in many international indicators related to digital transformation.

All these achievements and what follows are supported and overseen by our wise leadership to make the Kingdom a leading model in the world, not only in digital transformation but on all levels.”

Goals of the Forum:

Abdul Karim bin Abdul Rahman bin Mahareb, the General Manager of Renad Al-Majd Group (RMG), stated, “This forum is part of the series of social responsibility activities regularly organized by Renad Al-Majd Group (RMG) with the aim of:

Engaging with decision-makers in the field of digital transformation.

Exchanging ideas and insights.

Sharing knowledge and experiences.

Enhancing opportunities for digital government integration and collaboration.

Forum Agenda:

Renad Al-Majd Group (RMG) ensured diversity in activities and events during the current forum, starting from interactive workshops to digital consultation clinics and concluding with a dialogue session. The goal was to meet the changing needs of our partners based on feedback from the previous forum.

The forum included four interactive workshops and a new creative section called “Digital Consultation Clinics.”

  • The first workshop, titled “Challenges in Managing the Government Digital Transformation Measurement File,” was presented by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Ghazi and Engineer Hani Abu Hilal.
  • The second workshop, titled “How to Implement a Digital Transformation Strategy,” was presented by Engineer Fayad Mohammed Hani Bayan.
  • The third workshop, titled “Journey to Obtaining National Organizational Readiness Accreditation (NORA),” was presented by Engineer Firas Soufi.
  • The fourth workshop, titled “Digital Innovation and Emerging Technologies,” was presented by Engineer Ahmed Al-Reis.

Digital Consultation Clinics by Renad (RMG):

The forum witnessed the launch of a new innovative idea by Renad (RMG) , introducing a service that takes a step towards achieving excellence in developing ways to interact with the requirements of government digital measurement. Six specialized consulting clinics were developed, covering all aspects of digital transformation, from digital transformation strategy to digital innovation and creativity.

Forum Highlights:

In a valuable intervention, the Assistant Governor of the Eastern Region for Development Affairs, Engineer, emphasized the importance of robust strategic planning and involving all stakeholders from the beginning in developing a digital transformation strategy.

He highlighted how the Eastern Region Emirate benefited from starting right in developing the digital transformation strategy, which reflected on all aspects of digital transformation in the Emirate, achieving significant progress in the Government Digital Transformation Index in 2023.

Engineer Musa Abdullah Ahmed Al-Mimani, Deputy Director of Digital Transformation in the Municipality of Al-Madinah Region, emphasized the importance of continuous communication between digital transformation leaders and employees of the entity to explain the digital transformation strategy repeatedly, ensuring clarity of digital targets and explaining the methods and ways to achieve them.

He pointed out that they, in the Municipality of Al-Madinah Region, benefited from this approach, helping them win several digital awards during the Digital Government Conference in 2023, such as the Digital Government Award for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and many others.

In an interview with Engineer Walid Al-Anzi from the Agricultural Development Fund, he said, “The significant progress made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of digital transformation is an important axis in this forum.

In recent years, there have been giant leaps in developing digital infrastructure and implementing advanced digital solutions, contributing to improving government services and facilitating access to them.

Moreover, the Kingdom distinguished itself by adopting modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things.

The Agricultural Development Fund utilized these technologies to enhance the beneficiary’s experience, not only in improving the efficiency of government services but also in promoting various economic sectors.

These efforts reflect the Kingdom’s commitment to achieving Vision 2030 and establishing itself as a leading innovator in the digital field in the region.”
