Shaza Riyadh Hotel is pleased to announce that its team of chefs won the top 3 winners in the Mystery Box Challenge at the Hotel Show Exhibition on September 14, 2023.
The Mystery Box Challenge is a popular competition where chefs are given a box of mystery ingredients and have a limited time to create a dish.
The dishes are then judged by a panel of experts.
Shaza Riyadh’s team of chefs, led by Chef.
Goma’a – Assistant Head Chef, created a five-course meal using the mystery ingredients. The first course was Canapés:
Salmon mousse with mixed berries salsa, Shrimp chermoula, and slow-roasted
cherry tomatoes preserved in olive oil served with mushroom pure. The second
course was a cold starter: Smoked Salmon Roll with Rocca served with a mix of
berry tartar and mango mousse. The third course was Soup: Saudi jarresh soup
served with cardamom tuile.
The fourth course was the Main course: Grilled beef
medallion served with fennel puree and potato and savoury baked pumpkin with
creamy mushroom sauce.
The dessert eclair filling sweet potato marshmallow,
caramelized dragon fruit tartare dipping with berry sauce.
The judges were impressed with the creativity, taste, and presentation of Shaza Riyadh’s dishes.
