Schneider Electric’s Innovation Day in Saudi Arabia highlights solutions to drive sustainability and energy efficiency across the country

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, gulftech – Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, concluded an action-packed two-day Innovation Day event in Riyadh under the theme of Partnerships of The Future. The aim of the event was to empower Saudi-based partners, end-users and distributors to move toward a more sustainable future with the help of ‘green’ products and solutions that reduce carbon footprint and save energy.

The event – which took place from May 26th to May 27th – put the spotlight on green and sustainable technologies that are playing a role achieving Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Sustainability is at the heart of the Vision 2030 with the Saudi Green Initiative aiming to reverse environmental degradation and climate change through an extensive reforestation project and a shift to the use of renewable energy resources. It also involves the planting of 10 billion trees in the country, restoring 40 million hectares of degraded land, generating 50% of electricity from renewables by 2030, and eliminating over 130 million tons of carbon emissions.

Schneider Electric’s Innovation Day event – held at the Movenpick Hotel in Riyadh – included a host of activities tailor-made for partners, end-users and distributors, including interactive product demos, breakout sessions, networking opportunities and more. The breakout sessions focused on a host of key topics, including ‘Net Generation: Industrial Automation’, ‘Home, Buildings & Infrastructure’, ‘Data Centers of the Future and much more. All these topics were carefully selected to create an agenda geared towards more green and sustainable solutions for future for all.
