Artistic Lamasat , a leading events and experiences company, is organizing the launch of the “Evelution” Women Development Initiative, an innovative vision that leverages art as a powerful tool for social impact and meaningful dialogue around women’s issues.

The “Evelution” initiative serves as a multidisciplinary platform aimed at integrating art and culture with social causes by creating meaningful spaces for discussion and awareness. The initiative presents a model that combines artistic creativity with intellectual engagement to address challenges affecting women’s health and rights, including harassment, female genital mutilation (FGM), early marriage, and violence against women.

The initiative will officially launch with an opening ceremony on April 17th at Saqqara at 7:00 PM, and will be attended by prominent public figures and decision-makers. The main program will continue from April 18th to the 22nd at Cinema Radio and The Factory from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The initiative’s program includes an art exhibition featuring around 100 artworks by artists from around the world, representing diverse schools of visual arts including painting, sculpture, photography, and multimedia. The program will also include documentary film screenings presented by filmmakers and students from diverse artistic and academic backgrounds, enhancing both diversity of perspectives and depth of impact.

The initiative is held under the official patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Social Solidarity, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Media, and the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority. Alongside a wide participation from strategic and executive partners including: The Arab African Awareness Center, Egypt Foundation for Health and Sustainable Development, “Enty El Aham” Initiative, ESLSCA University, Russian University, Shams Art Space Gallery, Russian Cultural Center, Ismailia Real Estate Investment Company and Venture Real Estate Development.

In addition to several civil society organizations such as: Ahl Masr Foundation, Baheya Foundation, New Woman Foundation, and Speak Up Initiative.

Dr. Nermeen Shams, Co-Founder and President of the Initiative, stated: “We aim for Evelution to become the largest awareness campaign in Egypt and the Arab world addressing harassment, female genital mutilation, early marriage, and violence against women.

At the same time, we are working to strengthen support for social institutions and launch practical programs to address these issues both inside and outside Egypt, contributing to meaningful and sustainable impact.”

Renowned artist Shalimar Sharbatly expressed her support for the initiative and her participation with a dedicated artwork, emphasizing the transformative role of art: “My participation in the Evelution initiative stems from my belief that art is not merely aesthetic expression, but a powerful tool for change and social impact.

This initiative represents an advanced model for using creativity to highlight essential humanitarian issues affecting women. Using art opens new horizons for dialogue and enhances opportunities for real and sustainable change.”

Mirna Ahmed, Operations Manager at Artistic Lamasat, also emphasized the initiative’s significance: “We believe art has an exceptional ability to reach the human conscience.

Through the Evelution initiative, we aim to create a sustainable platform that combines creativity and impact, opening the door to meaningful dialogue that raises societal awareness and supports women’s issues in practical and influential ways.”

The “Evelution” initiative aims to establish a long-term platform where art becomes an effective tool for awareness and dialogue, contributing to building a more informed, healthy, and inclusive society through strengthened partnerships between artists, institutions, and decision-makers.
