Mu’tah University Launches the Fifth Cohort of Its Arabic Teaching Diploma in Collaboration with Hawwaz Training Platform

Mu’tah University has officially announced the launch of its fifth installment of the specialized training diploma program titled “Arabic Language and Teaching Methods for Non-Native Speakers.” This innovative program is being offered in collaboration with the Hawwaz online training platform, an initiative of Almotahida Education Group.

Spanning four academic terms, the diploma encompasses a rigorous 300-hour training curriculum to be completed over nine months. Upon successful completion of all terms, participants will be awarded a certificate accredited by Mu’tah University, which is recognized and can be authenticated by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education.

Dr Fahmi Al-Balawnah, the project supervisor at Mu’tah University, stated that the diploma, delivered through the Hawwaz platform, is designed to equip educators with the requisite skills and knowledge for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers. The program targets those intending to work in schools, cultural centers, and on digital platforms, providing them with the tools necessary to excel in this vital field.

The comprehensive diploma covers a wide range of topics over four academic terms, including:
Fundamental skills in the Arabic language.
Designing and developing Arabic language curricula for non-native speakers, including content assessment.
An introduction to general linguistics.
Digital education and its application in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
International standards in Arabic language education for non-native speakers.
Educational scenario planning.
Issues in Arabic language education for non-native speakers.
Teaching methods and lesson planning based on a five-stage learning cycle.
Approaches to teaching Arabic to non-native speakers (with material in English and French).
Arabic literature and calligraphy, along with other specialized topics pertinent to Arabic language teachers for non-native speakers.

The diploma is overseen by a select group of leading experts and specialists in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, ensuring a high caliber of training and effective student guidance.
