Celebrate the End of 2021 and Look Ahead to 2022 Through Challenges, Live Events, Awards and more on TikTok

Riyadh, KSA – December 23, 2021 – The end of 2021 brings with it the chance for users to dive headfirst into fun challenges, celebrate their favourite creators and tune into a one-of-a-kind, live event hosted on TikTok to celebrate the coming new year. Following the recently announced Year On TikTok 2021 report, TikTok is taking its end of year festivities to new heights and users are welcome to join in the fun as the platform round’s off a year of positivity and creativity on and off the platform.

Kicking off the end of year entertainment will be a series of challenges, with #My2021 already live and taking the lead, calling on users to showcase their highlights of the year, for the chance to feature in the platform’s curated video of the best moments of 2021. #2022MakeAWish will follow as the next challenge set to go live on December 26th, featuring a unique sticker that users can use to share their wishes for the coming year. As we move into 2022, TikTok will celebrate longform content with #NewYearCheck from January 1st, as they create vlog-style videos detailing their start to the year.

At the same time on the platform, the platform will be showing appreciation to its community of creators by shining a spotlight on the accomplishments of creators across the platform through the different awards; the Hero Awards, where the outstanding performances by creators throughout the year will be highlighted, as well as the Popular Creator Awards, celebrating everyone’s favourite talents, as voted for by users themselves.

In addition to the exciting in-app challenges happening on the platform, TikTok will light up Burj Khalifa with a dynamic LED show on December 28th to highlight all the trends, moments, and creators that entertained and brought us joy making 2021 a year on TikTok that was one-of-a-kind.

The cherry on the cake, will be a thrilling live event taking place on the 31st of December, from 10.30pm until 12.30am GST, which users can tune into on @TikTokMENA_Live. The action packed agenda will see celebrities such as Abdul Fattah Grini and break out star Issam AlNajjar entertaining viewers, while aspiring talents Moe Zein, Maan Bargouth and Confait are also set to make highly anticipated appearances. The show will further feature engaging TikTok talents, across magicians, glow dancers, pop dancers, skate stunt performance, football freestyling and musicians

Through the challenges, awards, and live event slated for the upcoming weeks, TikTok is setting the tone for an incredible end to 2021, welcoming users to join it ushering in a creative, positive start to 2022.
