All-new electric BMW i5, eighth-generation 5 Series set to redefine the future of mobility in Saudi Arabia
Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, the official importer of BMW Group vehicles in Saudi Arabia, has launched the new BMW 5 Series and i5 in the Kingdom. The importer hosted the launch of the remarkable vehicle at Riyadh’s vibrant JAX District during a grand event that brought together select officials and discerning clientele of the BMW brand.
In line with the car’s forward-thinking and cutting-edge qualities, JAX District, home to creative and artistic events provided the ideal venue for the launch of the BMW 5 Series and i5 models.
The icon of executive sedans, the BMW 5 Series is now in its eighth generation and continues to be a leader in its segment. Featuring key design highlights such as the larger, illuminated kidney grille and BMW Iconic Glow headlights. The luxurious interiors feature the driver-centric BMW Curved Display with the new BMW iDrive.
Elevating the elegance and performance quotients that BMW is known for, the i5 represents the globally renowned carmaker’s commitment to sustainable mobility. The first BMW to feature an all-electric drivetrain, it heralds a new era of technologically advanced driving in the Kingdom. A statement of sporty elegance and striking presence, the business sedan pushes automotive boundaries in the upper mid-range vehicle segment.
Minimal aesthetic, distinguished features
The BMW i5’s design language is clear and minimalistic, highlighting its dynamic character with precise contours and pared-back athleticism. Offering enhanced passenger space, comfort and safety, the vehicle also sports a front view that is a testament to modern design, with the iconic twin headlights in a reinterpreted style and the prominent BMW kidney grille.
Inside the i5, digitalisation underlines the driving experience, resulting in the cockpit boasting a significantly reduced number of buttons and controls. The BMW Curved Display takes centre stage, featuring a 12.3-inch Information Display and a 14.9-inch Control Display, accompanied by a customisable 18-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound System and immersive soundscape created by the legendary composer Hans Zimmer. The redesigned steering wheel also offers a more intuitive feel, and the optional BMW Interaction Bar is a highlight, extending across the width of the instrument panel and featuring touch-sensitive control panels.
A first in BMW’s history, the i5 comes with a fully vegan interior as standard, covering surfaces like the seats, dashboard, door panels and steering wheel. Optional equipment includes BMW Individual Merino leather upholstery in several bicolour variants.
All-electric premium mobility
The all-electric powertrain of the BMW i5 is the star of the show. Equipped with fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology, it offers exceptional performance and an impressive electric range, making it an ideal choice for those whose heart is set on sustainable, emission-free mobility.
With a battery capacity of up to 84.3 kWh and a range of 240 to 295 miles in the vehicle test cycles, it allows you to drive farther and live better, taking you anywhere you need to go.
The BMW i5 is engineered for dynamism, ensuring a perfect balance, responsive handling, and nimble steering.
