The 6-part production is packed with laughter, wit and distinctive Saudi flair, brought to life through heartwarming and hilarious characters who try to navigate their way through a struggling entrepreneurial journey to convert their failing fish shop into a thriving business in the city of Jeddah.
Tahir’s House features a family of amateur entrepreneurs that are faced with an ultimatum as their fish store is just weeks away from bankruptcy. In this comedic series, the Saudi family manages the unexpected as they transition from “surf” to “turf” after a light bulb moment that leads them on a path to a blossoming new market. But this new journey is no walk in the park… as the family scrambles through challenges, mishaps and a whole load of shenanigans, the meaning of sacrifice, brotherhood, and family become the real discovery and the reality that their greatest catch might be each other.
Starring Mohammed Bakhash (Jumaa), the father and the head of the household whose comedic expertise knows no bounds, Alhashimi Alfaisal (Yousef), the passionate yet continually luckless son and Mohammed Alfaraa (Karim), Yousef’s partner in crime and nursing sibling. As well as Joud Alsufyani (Azizah), the brainy and brilliant daughter who’s out to conquer the world, and Naimah Ahmad (Lutfiya), the spirited and bold grandmother.
