Samsung LED Display Screens Elevate Fan Experience at 2023 Club World Cup
Anticipating the 2023 Club World Cup tournament that kicked off in Jeddah on December 12, 2023, the Ministry of Sports has forged a collaboration with Samsung Electronics Saudi Arabia to enrich the fans experience at King Abdullah Stadium (Aljawhara) and Prince Abdullah Alfiasal Stadium.
The collaboration, involved an upgrade of display screens at both stadiums, setting a new standard for immersive sports entertainment. Samsung’s state-of-the-art Smart LED display screens were installed, replacing existing screens and introducing experiential displays around the fans’ seating areas.
At King Abdullah Stadium (Aljawhara), Samsung’s transformative touch extended to the replacement of all existing screens, including scoreboards within the stadium and those in the outdoor secondary fields. in addition to installing two new ramps of LED screens encircling the fans’ stands, one of them is 527m long, and the other is 625m long—and new LED screens in the VIP section and the press conference hall.
Prince Abdullah Alfiasal Stadium witnessed a similar technological overhaul as Samsung replaced scoreboards inside the stadium and screens at the players’ entrances with cutting-edge Smart LED displays.
Speaking about the collaboration, Ahmed Skaf, Head of Enterprise Business at Samsung Saudi, expressed his enthusiasm for contributing to the success of the Club World Cup and emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation in Saudi Arabia. “Samsung is proud to be part of this transformative project that enhances the overall fan experience at this prestigious event.” Skaf remarked.
This venture marks another milestone in Samsung’s repertoire of projects in Saudi Arabia, building on a legacy that includes over 3000 meters of outdoor LED display screens for Formula 1 events and digital signage installations at prominent locations like the PIF tower in KAFD.
Renowned for their energy efficiency and unparalleled picture quality, Samsung’s LED screens, equipped with illuminance sensors, adapt seamlessly to varying light conditions, ensuring an optimal viewing experience for fans.
