Priority Pass Continues Growth with New Strategic offerings
Dubai, United Arab Emirates gulftech: Priority Pass, the world’s leading traveller experiences programme, owned and operated by Collinson, has announced its plans to more than double the number of lounges worldwide that will be offering its Ready 2 Order food & beverage system. Today, the business will be gradually rolling out the service to an additional 30 locations globally, with a view for them all to be up and running next year.
Priority Pass developed Ready 2 Order to address the challenges traditional Food & Beverage (F&B) models in lounges faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The solution meant several lounges were able to protect the provision of F&B for guests whilst ensuring all Members and lounge staff could stay safe via a contactless ordering process. Priority Pass will announce the additional lounges offering Ready 2 Order over the coming months.
The expansion of Priority Pass’ services in the Middle East comes at an opportune time as the UAE’s tourism sector recorded a 62% occupancy rate in H1-2021, outperforming ten other major global tourism destinations according to WAM. In line with increasing the number of lounges offering Ready 2 Order, the company is also focused on bringing quality dining, sleep and spa airport experiences to the Priority Pass programme. The new expansion of the services in the region includes sleep ’n fly Sleep Lounge & Showers at Terminal 1 in Dubai International Airport. These services are also available to Priority Pass members at the sleep ’n fly Sleep Lounge at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 and Doha Hamad International Airport (HIA) to avail and enjoy. Notably, demand for sleep ’n fly lounge at HIA has seen exponential growth and has helped tired passengers enjoy nearly half a million hours of rest, relaxation, or socially distanced space during their transit at the airport.
Commenting on this expansion Priyanka Lakhani, Director South Asia and Commercial Director, Middle East and Africa at Collinson, said, “Providing our Priority Pass members globally with the best possible travel experience has always been a key commitment. We have received a great response to the Ready 2 Order service launch in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, and with regional air travel increasing, we are ready to serve a more diversified travel segment with additional services like the sleep ‘N fly Sleep Lounge in Dubai and Doha. Increasing demand for socially distanced spaces coupled with longer layover periods has prompted a significant uptick for these types of services. We look forward to delivering our signature premium services to millions of travellers across the Middle East, who can now enjoy a stress-free, contactless and seamless airport experience.”
As well as building more premium airport experiences, Priority Pass is looking to extend the services it is offering Members beyond lounge access. It is currently looking at how its Members travel to and from the airport to truly elevate the travel experience by creating the most seamless journeys for them – from when they leave their house to when they arrive at their destination. More details on these propositions will follow.
