Najm Earns ISO 20000-1 Certification for IT Service Management System

In a milestone achievement showcasing the success of its strategy in enhancing its digital services and infrastructure to boost efficiency and ensure a fully integrated, uninterrupted service, Najm for Insurance Services has obtained the ISO 20000-1 certification, which specifies the standard requirements of the information technology (IT) service management system (SMS), from QCB Italia, a world-renowned independent certification body specialized in setting evaluation standards for corporate management systems. This certification is a testimony to Najm’s commitment to developing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing its IT service management system, ensuring top-quality services and customer satisfaction.

Commenting on this achievement, Najm’s IT SVP Mr. Abdullah Al-Khalaf stated, “Obtaining this certification highlights Najm’s sustainable approach and consistency in meeting the highest standards in its digital services, helping to accelerate the overall digital transformation of the insurance sector across the Kingdom and augmenting its contribution to the digital economy strategy adopted by the government. In addition to ensuring the quality of the services we provide through an integrated digital ecosystem that serves to meet our customers’ needs and expectations, the ISO certification enhances our performance and productivity across all our departments through an advanced approach that guarantees the safety and security of Najm’s data and assets.” Mr. Al-Khalaf further reiterated that the company’s strategy BASE seeks to offer a leading model for outstanding digital services in the insurance industry at the local and regional levels, as it stems from a solid business foundation and draws on key plans and sizable investments leading to the company’s advancement in this field.

As part of its efforts to enhance and streamline the customer experience, Najm has recently rolled out several integrated digital services and products, most notably the Najm app which offers an advanced user experience that allows the customer to benefit from a wide range of services. Among Najm’s numerous digital services is the WhatsApp service which provides customers instant access to an automated system for reporting traffic accidents. In addition to its upgraded services, Najm contributes to raising awareness of the importance of insurance, thereby promoting the insurance sector in the Kingdom. After recently earning the ISO 27001:2013 certification for complying with top information security management standards, Najm adds the new ISO certification to its list of accomplishments, highlighting the enhanced quality and effectiveness of its information security management systems as well as the high level of security and advancement of its digital infrastructure protecting it from any potential threats by meeting world-class standards.
