Lexus once again showcased its excellence by securing a prestigious global and local accolade, as it was announced the winner of the most significant award in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The announcement took place during the eleventh edition of the PR Arabia National Auto Award, where the Lexus RX was honored as the Best Luxury Medium SUV for the year 2023. The grand ceremony was held on November 14 in Jeddah, under the patronage of the Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation.
Mazin Jameel, the Marketing Managing Director at Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, expressed his delight at Lexus RX earning the PR Arabia National Auto Award for the Best Luxury Medium-SUV in the Kingdom. He stated, “Lexus winning this award is a true reflection of the esteemed position that Lexus has globally and locally. It is the ultimate testament to the admiration, appreciation, and love from those who participated in this poll for the Lexus brand, especially the Lexus RX model.”
The Lexus RX stands out for its Elegant Interior and Spacious Cabin, providing an exceptionally comfortable driving experience. Lexus RX is equipped with Advanced Systems and Technologies that enhance the car’s safety and security levels, in addition to modern luxury conveniences. The model is available with three Engine Options, the first being a Newly Developed 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with a Turbocharger, generating 275 horsepower and 430 Newton-meters of torque, coupled with an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission with direct shift capability.
The Second Option is the Hybrid System, combining a 2.5-liter Gasoline Engine and an Electric Motor, delivering a total system output of 247 Horsepower. The hybrid system is also paired with an Electronically Controlled-Continuously Variable Transmission (e-CVT), achieving fuel efficiency of 20.7 km/l.
The Third Option is a New Hybrid System that combines a 2.4-liter four-cylinder Gasoline Engine with a Turbocharger and an Electric Motor. This configuration produces a total system power of 366 Horsepower, coupled with a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission, and achieves fuel efficiency of 15.5 km/l, providing an enhanced driving experience.
It is worth mentioning that the PR Arabia National auto Award is one of the most important regional awards dedicated to the Automotive Sector in the region. The annual award aims to introduce the latest models launched in the region, and honor professionals in various Automotive-related sectors and is determined through direct public voting following a comprehensive awareness campaign through various media outlets for the nominated models and entities across different award categories.
