Ericsson is set to showcase its latest network-related demos at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. The Swedish telecom vendor spotlights its leading technology across topics including accelerating networks, monetizing 5G, and its vision of future networks.

From its recent indoor and macro portfolio announcements to Fixed Wireless Access to a live digital twin of a 6G network, Ericsson’s demos will provide a glimpse into the company’s innovative technologies that are set to impact the telecom industry.

MWC in Barcelona is the world’s largest mobile industry event, and Ericsson’s presence is highly anticipated by industry experts and professionals.

One of the key demos that Ericsson will be showcasing is its highly anticipated Ericsson Radio System hardware wall and tower. The display will include the latest products from radio access network (RAN) and transport portfolios, from outdoor to indoor, with the ability to lift-and-compare coming generation of single- and multi-band radios, to baseline products.

At the center of the show floor are displays related to monetizing 5G. Some exciting demos here include the Fixed Wireless Access opportunity, featuring the latest market developments and technology breakthroughs on customer-premises equipment (CPEs), millimeter wave, self-install applications and more. The themed area also highlights Time-Critical Communications with an array of partners, where visitors can discover use cases such as remote driving and extended reality through live demos.

Ericsson’s vision for future networks is also a major focus at MWC. The company will showcase its energy-efficient solutions and offer a glimpse into an exciting future of 6G-related technologies being explored in its labs. Among these exhibits are zero energy sensors, live digital twinning of a 6G network, and exploring the performance capabilities of potential new 6G spectrum.

Speaking about the demos, Ericsson’s David Hammarwall, Head of Product Area Networks, says: “We are thrilled to showcase our latest solutions that can help service providers accelerate their network evolution, monetize their 5G investments, and prepare for the future. We believe that our cutting-edge technologies can enable a better connected and sustainable world, and we look forward to showing their potential at MWC.”

More than 80,000 attendees from all over the world are expected to descend on Barcelona for the four-day MWC 2023 event. The Ericsson experience is sure to be a highlight of the event, and will be at Hall 2 of the Fira Grand Via, Barcelona from 27 February to 2 March 2023.
