The flagship innovation contest invites university students to solve real-world sustainability challenges leveraging artificial intelligence and digital technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">University students aged 18 and above from across Saudi Arabia can register on the official TCS Sustainathon website. The last date to register is July 30, 2026. Teams must comprise a minimum of three and a maximum of five students to enroll in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aligned with Saudi Arabia&#8217;s sustainability ambitions and Vision 2030, this year\u2019s edition is themed \u201cAI for Sustainable Futures.\u201d Students will apply AI to develop practical solutions to address challenges across three priority areas: water and energy resources, food security and agriculture, and community health and well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The competition aims to cultivate the Kingdom&#8217;s next generation of innovators supporting them with skills, mentorship, and industry exposure. It brings together students, academia, industry, and technology experts to develop AI-driven ideas that can deliver meaningful impact toward a sustainable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sudhir Sreedharan, Regional Head &#8211; TCS, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain,<\/strong> said, <em>\u201cSaudi Arabia is undergoing a remarkable transformation driven by innovation, sustainability, and digital advancement. The third&nbsp;edition of TCS Sustainathon reflects our commitment to empowering the next generation of Saudi talent. By encouraging Saudi students to develop AI-powered solutions for sustainability challenges, we hope to inspire future leaders to shape a smarter and more sustainable Kingdom.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The top ten finalists will be announced on September 10, 2026, ahead of the grand finale on September 30, 2026, where they will present their solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants will compete for cash prizes and the opportunity to further develop their ideas into scalable solutions. The winning team will receive SAR 15,000. The second- and third-placed teams will receive SAR 10,000 and SAR 7,000, respectively, along with certificates. Each of the remaining top seven finalists will receive SAR 4,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants will receive mentorship from TCS throughout the competition. The previous two editions drew more than 500 registrations.
