The teams showcased their ventures to FedEx judges and were assessed based on the four pillars of global connectivity: innovation, connecting to new markets, community development, and sustainability, through company reports, presentations, videos, and interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by a group of high school students, the winning venture, Eco Rock transforms rock wool \u2013 an industrial byproduct \u2013 into an effective growth medium for hydroponic farming. The company\u2019s innovative solution reduces waste, saves water and energy, and enhances food security. With a vision rooted in circular economy and sustainability, Eco Rock provides a practical and smart solution to today\u2019s agricultural and environmental challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt FedEx, we believe in empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs by helping them develop the skills, mindset, and opportunities to shape a better future,\u201d said Taarek Hinedi, vice president of FedEx Middle East and Africa operations. \u201cThe award celebrates young innovators who are thinking globally, acting responsibly, and making a real impact in their communities.
