International Omani racing driver Al Faisal bin Khalid Al Zubair<\/strong> concluded his current season in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS<\/strong> with a remarkable double achievement: he and his Al Manar Racing Team<\/strong> secured the Overall Teams Championship<\/strong> title (for both Sprint and Endurance races) in the Gold Cup<\/strong> class, and finished second overall<\/strong> in the final round of the Endurance Cup<\/strong> at the Barcelona<\/strong> circuit in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Runner-Up in the Final Challenge and Tenth Podium Finish<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the thrilling final race of the Endurance Cup in Barcelona, the Al Manar trio\u2014comprised of Al Faisal Al Zubair<\/strong>, Germany’s Jens Klingmann<\/strong>, and Britain’s Ben Tuck<\/strong>\u2014driving a BMW M4 GT3 Evo in collaboration with Team WRT, secured second place overall<\/strong>, ahead of 60 participating cars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This result earned the team their tenth<\/strong> podium finish of the season. They later added a second podium for the same race, taking second place in the Gold Cup class, bringing their total podium count for the season to 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gold Cup Overall Teams Title<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The consistent and strong performance of the Al Manar team throughout the 2025 season culminated in them being crowned the Overall Teams Champion<\/strong> (combining Sprint and Endurance points) for the Gold Cup<\/strong> class. Al Faisal Al Zubair and his teammate Jens Klingmann also finished second<\/strong> in the Overall Drivers Standings<\/strong> for the same class with 196 points<\/strong>. The 3-hour race in Barcelona was filled with drama, including Safety Car periods following accidents. Al Manar cleverly used an early pit stop for a driver change. Al Zubair started the race and maintained his position before handing over to Tuck, who moved up the order strategically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klingmann finished the race in a fierce battle, managing to regain second place overall<\/strong> on the final lap after passing Raffaele Marciello, confirming the success of the team’s strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s a fantastic way to end the season with second overall in Barcelona and second in the Gold Cup class. It really shows how strong and competitive the Gold Cup has been this year, and I’m happy with how the whole season has gone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being on the overall podium for the first time in the GT World Challenge, and taking second, is a huge accomplishment<\/strong> against the best drivers in the world in this championship. Despite difficulties in qualifying, the race was perfect with the strategy and the temperatures suited the car better. This is definitely the best way to finish the season, and achieving this is truly special.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
