{"id":79685,"date":"2025-09-01T11:19:44","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T08:19:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gulftech-news.com\/en\/?p=79685"},"modified":"2025-09-01T11:19:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T08:19:45","slug":"worlds-largest-gathering-of-chinese-travel-industry-professionals-ever-held-outside-of-china-takes-place-in-abu-dhabi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gulftech-news.com\/en\/2025\/09\/01\/worlds-largest-gathering-of-chinese-travel-industry-professionals-ever-held-outside-of-china-takes-place-in-abu-dhabi\/","title":{"rendered":"World\u2019s Largest Gathering of Chinese Travel Industry Professionals Ever Held Outside of China Takes Place in Abu Dhabi"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The world\u2019s largest gathering of Chinese travel industry professionals ever staged outside of China took place recently in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, during the <strong>China Visitors Summit (CVS)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearly <strong>160 leading Chinese travel industry buyers<\/strong> \u2013 including travel agencies and tour operators, luxury agencies and wholesalers, MICE managers, and corporate travel planners \u2013 traveled to the UAE to meet face-to-face with the country\u2019s tourism suppliers, such as hotels, destinations, attractions, museums, inbound tour operators, shopping malls, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the course of <strong>two intensive days of one-to-one meetings<\/strong> at the Rotana Hotel and Conference Center in Al Ain, more than <strong>3,000 business appointments<\/strong> were conducted between Chinese buyers and UAE suppliers. Collectively, these buyers generated nearly <strong>$1 billion in global outbound travel business<\/strong> last year, representing more than <strong>1.5 million international travelers<\/strong>, many of whom are focused on the GCC region and especially the UAE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>China has now become the <strong>world\u2019s largest source of international tourism<\/strong>, with <strong>200 million passport holders<\/strong> and approximately the same number of global trips in the past year. Chinese travelers spent upwards of <strong>$300 billion annually worldwide<\/strong>, making China an essential source market for any global tourism destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the CVS, UAE travel companies are able to <strong>choose the Chinese buyers they want to meet<\/strong>, customizing their schedules to focus on specific segments \u2013 from <strong>luxury FIT leisure travel<\/strong> to <strong>business and MICE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe China Visitors Summit is not just about meetings \u2013 it\u2019s about building long-term partnerships between the UAE and China\u2019s most powerful travel industry leaders,\u201d said <strong>Alexander Glos, CEO of the China i2i Group<\/strong>, organizer of the event. \u201cAbu Dhabi and the wider UAE are now firmly positioned as must-visit destinations for Chinese travelers, and the CVS provides the direct access, insights, and opportunities that suppliers need to succeed in this market.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The world\u2019s largest gathering of Chinese travel industry professionals ever staged outside of China took place recently in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, during the China Visitors Summit (CVS).
