And real problems are not rare: 31% of parents in the UAE participated in the <em>\u201c<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/media.kasperskydaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/37\/2024\/11\/20131204\/Kaspersky_Growing-Up-Online_Report_META_2024.pdf\"><em>Growing Up Online<\/em><\/a><em>\u201d survey <\/em>admitted that they lost money because of their children\u2019s online behavior, while 19% of respondents stated that their child\u2019s device was infected with a virus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If kids aren\u2019t aware of online risks, even strong financial literacy won\u2019t protect them from phishing disguised as giveaways, fake in-game deals, sneaky subscription renewals, or identity theft. By integrating financial education with digital protection, parents can prepare their kids not only to manage money smartly, but also to defend themselves against the cyberthreats that come with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what Kaspersky experts recommend parents teach their kids about managing their money responsibly and securely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Set clear spending limits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Helping children understand boundaries is the first step in building both financial discipline and digital awareness. Start by establishing a basic budget structure for your child\u2019s typical expenses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>School supplies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food or lunch money<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sports or hobby-related purchases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entertainment (apps, games, subscriptions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Rather than micromanaging every purchase, talk about percentages.
