{"id":78274,"date":"2025-07-07T14:09:38","date_gmt":"2025-07-07T11:09:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gulftech-news.com\/en\/?p=78274"},"modified":"2025-07-07T14:09:40","modified_gmt":"2025-07-07T11:09:40","slug":"new-slack-research-daily-ai-usage-among-workers-surges-233","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gulftech-news.com\/en\/2025\/07\/07\/new-slack-research-daily-ai-usage-among-workers-surges-233\/","title":{"rendered":"New Slack Research: Daily AI Usage Among Workers Surges 233%"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em><strong>Workers who use AI daily are 81% more satisfied with their job<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Slack\u2019s latest Workforce Index revealed a significant increase in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/artificial-intelligence\/what-is-ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI<\/a>\u00a0adoption and excitement among desk workers, with daily AI usage higher by an astounding<strong>\u00a0233%\u00a0<\/strong>in just six months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey of 5,000 global desk workers also found that AI has emerged as a clear competitive advantage, as workers who use AI daily prove to be<strong>\u00a064%<\/strong>\u00a0more productive and<strong>\u00a081%<\/strong>\u00a0more satisfied with their job than colleagues not using AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Index reveals that workers are using AI to level up, going beyond just automating tasks.&nbsp;<strong>96%&nbsp;<\/strong>of workers have used AI to perform tasks they previously didn\u2019t have the skills to do themselves, and today\u2019s workers are&nbsp;<strong>154%&nbsp;<\/strong>more likely to turn to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/agentforce\/ai-agents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI agents<\/a>&nbsp;to help them perform tasks better and more creatively, rather than to just simply automate their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe surge in AI adoption is fundamentally reshaping the workplace,\u201d said Denise Dresser, CEO of&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/slack\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Slack<\/a>. \u201cAs workers embrace AI with growing trust and confidence, businesses gain a clear opportunity to unlock greater productivity and innovation, while workers grow more confident and fulfilled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why it matters:<\/strong>&nbsp;While workers have been&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/slack.com\/blog\/news\/the-workforce-index-june-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">slower to adopt AI<\/a>&nbsp;than executives, adoption has surged over the past few months, with&nbsp;<strong>60%<\/strong>&nbsp;of desk workers now using AI and&nbsp;<strong>40%<\/strong>&nbsp;using AI agents. And Slack\u2019s latest Index shows that trust and confidence in AI grows with use; workers who use AI agents daily are twice as likely to trust them. With workers all-in on AI, businesses can deliver on their AI vision and unlock the full potential of digital labor within their organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Salesforce perspective:&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8220;When it comes to workers and AI, the data shows us that seeing is believing,\u201d says Lucas Puente, VP of Research. \u201cAs workers actually use and experiment with AI agents, their trust and enthusiasm in this technology grows \u2013 and we see them leveraging agents to unlock new skills and opportunities in their everyday work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Middle East perspective:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cWhat we see amongst organizations in the Middle East reflects the global research in Slack\u2019s Workforce Index, with strong adoption of AI agents among workers, and particularly millennials,\u201d said Mohammed Alkhotani, SVP and GM, Salesforce Middle East. \u201cThis is a positive development and is helping to enhance workers\u2019 productivity and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> It is important for organizations to nurture this enthusiasm for AI and to ensure they have the right solutions and policies in place to ensure sustainable, long-term success with AI.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By the numbers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AI adoption, trust and excitement are soaring. Since November 2024:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>AI adoption among workers has risen\u00a0<strong>50%<\/strong>, with\u00a0<strong>60%<\/strong>\u00a0of workers now using AI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daily AI usage among workers is\u00a0<strong>233%\u00a0<\/strong>higher<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>40%<\/strong>\u00a0of workers have worked with an agent \u2013 and\u00a0<strong>23%<\/strong>\u00a0have offloaded tasks to agents complete on their behalf\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daily users of AI agents are\u00a0<strong>more than 2x<\/strong>\u00a0more likely to express high trust in AI across areas like data protection, accuracy, and decision-making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Millennials are emerging as the surprise AI power user at work.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>30%<\/strong>\u00a0of Millennials say they thoroughly understand AI agents \u2013 edging out even Gen Z (<strong>22%<\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>68%<\/strong>\u00a0of Millennials use AI for strategic work like drafting, summarizing, and ideating<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>43%<\/strong>\u00a0of executives report daily AI use, compared to\u00a0<strong>35%<\/strong>\u00a0of senior managers and\u00a0<strong>23%<\/strong>\u00a0of middle managers who use AI every day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AI is making workers more productive and enabling them to grow into more creative, strategic work.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Compared to non-users, daily AI users are more likely to report \u201cvery good\u201d:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Productivity (<strong>64%<\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focus (<strong>58%<\/strong>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Job satisfaction (<strong>81%<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The top three ways AI \/ AI agents have increased worker productivity are:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1) Eliminating need for extensive research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2) Assisting with writing\/communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3) Helping brainstorm to overcome creative blocks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>96%<\/strong>\u00a0of AI users have used AI to perform tasks they didn\u2019t have the skills to do themselves.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>72%<\/strong>\u00a0want AI agents to augment or automate brainstorming<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>80%<\/strong>\u00a0want AI agents to assist with research for deal support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>82%<\/strong>\u00a0want AI agents to create presentations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AI enhances \u2013 not replaces \u2013 connection among workers.<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Daily AI users are\u00a0<strong>246%<\/strong>\u00a0more likely to feel more connected to colleagues and report a\u00a0<strong>62%\u00a0<\/strong>higher sense of belonging at work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1 in 3 (34%)\u00a0<\/strong>Gen Z say AI has made them feel more connected at work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>50%<\/strong>\u00a0of Gen Z workers \u2013 the digital native generation \u2013 say AI hasn\u2019t changed how often they ask questions or collaborate with teammates.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In fact,\u00a0<strong>29%<\/strong>\u00a0say it\u2019s actually increased their engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Employee POV:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u201cAgentforce helps me work smarter, not just faster.
