{"id":65395,"date":"2024-07-04T15:02:10","date_gmt":"2024-07-04T12:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gulftech-news.com\/en\/?p=65395"},"modified":"2025-04-15T12:44:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T10:44:40","slug":"ericsson-appoints-patrick-johansson-head-of-market-area-middle-east-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gulftech-news.com\/en\/2024\/07\/04\/ericsson-appoints-patrick-johansson-head-of-market-area-middle-east-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Ericsson appoints Patrick Johansson Head of Market Area Middle East &amp; Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Effective as of August, 1, 2024<\/mark><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\"><strong>Becomes member of Ericsson&#8217;s Executive Team, reporting to the CEO<\/strong><\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ericsson.com\/\">Ericsson <\/a><\/strong>(NASDAQ: ERIC) today announces the appointment of Patrick Johansson as its new Head of Market Area Middle East &amp; Africa (MMEA) and Senior Vice President. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Johansson who is currently Head of Business Control &amp; Operations at Ericsson\u2019s Business Area Cloud Software &amp; Services, will replace Fadi Pharaon whose decision to leave Ericsson was announced in May 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Johansson will take up his new position on August 1, 2024, and be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patrick Johansson\u2019s background spans across multiple Business Areas and Market Areas having lived in Sweden, Korea, India, Austria, China and Vietnam since joining Ericsson in 1997. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His previous work experience includes roles as Global Head of Sales &amp; Commercial Management for Business Area Networks, Head of Customer Unit Korea as well as several executive Finance and Business roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>B\u00f6rje Ekholm, President and CEO of Ericsson, says: \u201cPatrick has extensive understanding of our technology and business strategy which are two crucial and contributing factors to continue securing our leading industry position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m very pleased that he has accepted this role and look forward to having him on the Executive Team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patrick Johansson, comments: \u201cI am honored and thrilled to be offered this opportunity.
