MINI Expands Global Footprint with Fully Electric Launch in Pakistan and Comeback in Jordan

Two milestones underscore MINI’s evolution into an electrification-focused brand shaping the future of urban mobility across emerging markets.

MINI’s international expansion continues in 2026 with two notable developments: a successful market entry in Pakistan built around its fully electric model range, and the brand’s comeback to Jordan through a partnership with an established BMW Group importer.

Jean-Philippe Parain, Head of MINI, described both moves as key milestones in the brand’s journey, reflecting its ambition to bring MINI’s signature combination of distinctive design, digital innovation, and go-kart driving feel to both new and returning markets — while advancing its broader vision for the future of urban mobility globally.

Entering Pakistan, Fully Electric

MINI made its debut in Pakistan earlier this year, entering a market seen as holding strong long-term potential amid a fast-evolving premium mobility landscape. The launch was carried out in partnership with Dewan Motors, BMW Group’s longstanding local importer, and centered entirely on MINI’s latest generation of fully electric vehicles.

Built on a dedicated electric platform, the lineup pairs MINI’s iconic design language with zero local emissions and the brand’s hallmark driving dynamics, offering a range of models suited to different lifestyles and mobility needs:

  • MINI Cooper Electric — the brand’s core model, reimagined for the electric era with compact proportions, the signature go-kart feel, and a minimalist interior built around a circular OLED display
  • MINI Aceman — a new fully electric crossover concept for the premium small-car segment, blending compact exterior dimensions with a spacious, forward-looking interior
  • MINI Countryman Electric — the largest model in the range, offering extended driving range, more interior space, and available all-wheel drive for both city driving and longer journeys

The Pakistan launch coincided with the opening of a new BMW and MINI showroom in Karachi, built around BMW Group’s “Retail.Next” concept — a modern, customer-focused retail format blending digital touchpoints with personalized service.

A Return to Jordan

Building on this momentum, MINI is also returning to the Jordanian market, this time in partnership with Abu Khader Automotive, BMW Group’s official importer in Jordan since 2010. The relaunch follows MINI’s earlier presence in the country, which began with the opening of its first Amman showroom in 2012.

Starting 12 August 2026, MINI will re-enter Jordan with its newest model generation, combining the brand’s signature design and driving character with greater comfort, versatility, and personalization options. The move aims to reconnect with MINI’s existing base of enthusiasts in Jordan while introducing the brand to a new generation of customers seeking distinctive, premium mobility.

Backed by Abu Khader Automotive’s deep local market experience, customers in Jordan will have access to a dedicated sales and aftersales service tailored specifically to the market — reinforcing BMW Group’s long-term commitment to the country and laying the groundwork for MINI’s continued growth there.

Together, the two milestones reflect MINI’s broader strategy: expanding its global footprint while redefining urban mobility through electrification, digital innovation, and individual self-expression.
