Tamer Hosny’s New Album Is Already Being Sung Live Days After Its Exclusive Release on Anghami
Just days after the exclusive release of Mesh Hatkarrar on Anghami, Tamer Hosny’s newest songs are already being sung by thousands of fans during his live performances.
At the first concerts following the album’s release, audiences were seen singing along to several of the new tracks despite the album remaining available exclusively on Anghami. While the concerts are part of Tamer Hosny’s own touring schedule and are not affiliated with Anghami, the audience response highlights how quickly the new music has reached listeners.
The release also delivered one of the strongest early performances for an exclusive release on Anghami, reaching multiple milestones within days of launch.
Mesh Hatkarrar reached No. 1 on Anghami in 16 MENA markets and climbed to the top of Anghami’s Total MENA chart over the weekend, while driving significant growth in listening activity across the platform.
Early Platform Performance
- No. 1 album on Anghami across 16 MENA markets
- No. 1 on Top Anghami chart in MENA
- 1,460% growth in streams following release
- 5M streams within the first 24 hours
- 10M+ total streams in 3 days (until July 25)
- Egypt recorded its highest number of active Anghami streamers in more than two years on the album’s release day
“As an artist, nothing compares to the joy of hearing people sing along to the songs from my album ‘Mesh Hatetkarar’ from the very day it was released, said Tamer Hosny. It’s truly something special. More important than reaching No. 1 in Egypt and across the Arab world is the respectful and heartfelt response from audiences in Egypt and throughout the region. Their praise that this is a carefully crafted, refined album that respects the listener’s taste means everything to me. I’m grateful to everyone who listened to my music on Anghami, shared it, and made it part of their musical journey.”
The release continues Anghami’s collaboration with leading Arabic artists through exclusive album launches, giving fans first access to new music while supporting artists with dedicated release campaigns designed to maximise reach and engagement from day one.
“An exclusive release should never be about limiting access—it’s about creating a moment around the music,” said Salam Kmeid, Head of Music at Anghami. “Our goal is to help artists launch their work in a way that brings fans together from the very first day. Seeing audiences already singing these songs live only days after release is a testament to Tamer’s connection with his fans and to the strength of great Arabic music.”
Through collaborations with the region’s leading artists, Anghami continues to invest in Arabic music and create new opportunities for artists to connect with audiences across the MENA region through exclusive releases and original experiences.
