PFISTERER Strengthens Saudi Footprint with New Training & Installation Center in Riyadh

PFISTERER, a global leader in energy infrastructure solutions, officially inaugurated its new Training & Installation Center in Riyadh. The opening marks a significant milestone in the company’s 50-year history in the Kingdom, underscoring its commitment to localization, technical excellence, and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Konstantin Kurfiss and Johannes Linden, Co-CEOs addressed an audience of key customers, partners, and industry colleagues, reflecting on the deep-rooted partnership between PFISTERER and the Saudi energy sector.

A Legacy of Trust and Innovation

Since entering the Saudi market in the mid-1970s, PFISTERER has been a pivotal partner in developing the Kingdom’s power grid. Key historical milestones include:

Decades of Growth: From supplying terminal clamps in the 70s to overhead line products in the 80s and advanced silicone insulators in the early 2000s.

Proven Track Record: Since 2000, the company has successfully delivered and installed over 50,000 high-voltage cable accessories across the Kingdom.

Local Manufacturing: Following the 2019 approval for OHL products, the SEC approval of the Kadan manufacturing plant for cable accessories in 2025 represents a major leap in local industrial development.

Empowering the Local Workforce

The new Training & Installation Center is designed to be a hub for knowledge transfer. Mr. LindenKurfiss emphasized that the reliability of energy infrastructure depends as much on expert installation as it does on product quality.

The best products can only deliver their full value when they are installed correctly,” said Konstantin Kurfiss. “By educating local installers and technicians on world-class practices, we ensure the safety and long-term performance of the Kingdom’s rapidly expanding power network.”

Alignment with Saudi Vision 2030

PFISTERER’s “Go-Local” strategy aims to optimize processes—from engineering and logistics to after-sales support. By strengthening local competence, the company is shortening supply chains and ensuring that global standards are embedded directly into local execution.

The Riyadh center serves as a key enabler for this strategy, providing the scalability needed to meet the Kingdom’s ambitious energy demands while maintaining the highest quality standards.
