Makkah – Othman Khalifah Madani

The “Hiraf Al-Awaleen” Museum in Makkah continues to welcome visitors daily, attracting locals from the holy city and various regions of Saudi Arabia, as well as international pilgrims and tourists arriving for Umrah and religious visits.

Founded by Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Haij, the museum offers an immersive experience that showcases the rich heritage of Makkah throughout the ages — from the era of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Rightly Guided Caliphs, to the modern era under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The museum displays rare artifacts and historical documentation tracing the architectural development of the Two Holy Mosques, beginning with the reign of the Kingdom’s founder, King Abdulaziz — may he rest in peace — to the present day, marked by unprecedented care and visionary projects dedicated to the Holy Sites.

Adding a vibrant cultural touch, the museum also features live traditional performances by the Abu Qamar troupe and ensemble, enriching the overall visitor experience with authentic Saudi heritage
