Chery Partners with 2025 Asian Youth Para Games, Taking Center Stage in Global Sports with Passion and Aspiration

On December 4 local time, Chery held a signing ceremony with the organizing committee of the 2025 Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG) in Dubai. The event was attended by key dignitaries including Mr. Zhu Shaodong, Executive Vice President of Chery International, Mr. Majid Rashed, President of Asian Paralympic Committee, Mr. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sport Council, Mr. Thani Juma Berregad, Chairman of DCD and Local Organising Committee – AYPG, and Mr Tarek Souei, CEO of Asian Paralympic Committee.

Together, they announced Chery’s official role as the exclusive mobility partner for the Games. Centered around the theme “With CHERY, Born to Rise!”, this collaboration marks not only a deepening partnership between Chery and the organizing committee but also a strong recognition of Chery’s brand strength and values.

Speaking at the ceremony, Zaher Sabbagh, Director of Chery UAE, represented in the country by AW Rostamani Group stated: “Being part of such an inspiring partnership once again highlights Chery’s long-standing commitment to being the mobility solution people need, reinforcing their drive, fueling their motivation, and serving as their trusted, innovative partner on the road. By supporting the Asian Youth Para Games, we hope to help young athletes push boundaries, rise above challenges, and move closer to the finish lines they set for their lives.”

The 2025 Asian Youth Para Games adopts “Born to Rise” as its official motto, reflecting the perseverance and self-transcendence of young athletes—a spirit that resonates deeply with Chery’s “Little Grass House” ethos of “facing challenges and never giving up.”

At the ceremony, Zhu Shaodong commented: “From our humble beginnings in Wuhu in 1997 to ranking 233rd on the Fortune Global 500 in 2025, this is Chery’s RISE. And in the competitions ahead, I look forward to witnessing the RISE of every young athlete.”

With 24 years of global commitment and operations across 120 countries and regions, Chery’s partnership with the Games reflects its commitment to ESG principles and its global philosophy of “In somewhere, For somewhere, Be somewhere.” It also reinforces the brand’s mission to promote equality and inclusion, empowering young athletes to shine on a truly level playing field.

This partnership is a natural outcome of Chery’s ongoing collaboration with the Asian para-sports community. Previously, Chery worked with the Kazakhstan Paralympic Committee to organize children’s sports events, encouraging young athletes to experience the power of self-transcendence and laying the groundwork for future international para-sports initiatives.

Chery also supported the successful hosting of the General Assembly of Asian Paralympic Committee, where both sides affirmed their shared commitment to “pushing limits.” During this period, Tarek Souei, CEO of the Asian Paralympic Committee, attended Chery Brand User Summit and visited the company’s headquarters, expressing strong approval of Chery’s technological capabilities and social responsibility efforts—paving the way for this AYPG partnership.

Chery’s technological expertise provides solid support for advancing sports in Asia. Through sustained investment in core R&D and a global innovation network, the company has built deep technical reserves and achieved breakthroughs in key areas. These capabilities not only drive product advancement but can also be adapted to support event operations and athlete training, offering reliable technological backing for young athletes as they strive for excellence.

The theme “With CHERY, Born to Rise!” embodies the shared spirit of Chery and the Games. From achieving independent breakthroughs in core technologies to leading China’s passenger vehicle exports for 22 consecutive years and entering the Fortune Global 500, Chery has consistently pursued “continuous breakthrough.” The Asian Youth Para Games, as a platform for young athletes to strive to realize their potential, vividly embodies the idea of “Born to Rise.”

This shared ethos extends to Chery’s ESG practices—from partnering with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to protect ecosystems, to renewing its cooperation with UNICEF to advance educational opportunities worldwide, Chery consistently aligns growth with responsibility, connecting corporate progress to social value.

Chery has now formed a dedicated team to coordinate global resources in preparation for the Games. As the 2025 Asian Youth Para Games is approaching, Chery will bring its technological expertise and sense of responsibility to the sporting stage, ensuring that the belief of “With CHERY, Born to Rise!” continues to inspire young athletes throughout their journey.
