During MWC Doha, Nokia and Ooredoo C The two partners will achieve this by delivering the first 4G/5G Smart Node Femtocell solution in Qatar and within Ooredoo Group affiliates in the Middle East, North Africa & Asia Pacific regions.
Powered by Nokia’s technology, the deployment aligns with Ooredoo Qatar’s business case to offer a slim and highly optimized system that seamlessly integrates into the Ooredoo Qatar network.
The Nokia Smart Node is an indoor small cell using integrated omni-directional antennas that extends LTE and 5G access to businesses and residential units at a low cost. It delivers secure, cost-effective, and easy to deploy customer experience in small and medium indoor environments. The self-installable Smart Node delivers clear voice and high-speed data services with scalable capacity.
The product is versatile and can provide effective network coverage in both dense urban and remote rural locations. The Software-defined parameters can be remotely modified through the OAM interface, eliminating the need for site visits.
It features a plug-and-play setup that minimizes reliance on customer infrastructure, delivering a simple, cost-effective solution with impressive coverage results.
The deployment of Nokia’s Smart Nodes will significantly enhance indoor coverage for Ooredoo Qatar’s Enterprise as well as VIP/Premium customers. This initiative is expected to reduce customer churn and boost customer loyalty by ensuring robust and secure 4G and 5G network availability across various enterprise locations.
