50 Scouts and Guides from Makkah Youth Scouts Honored as Global Messengers of Peace Ambassadors

In a ceremony held in Makkah, Professor Mardi Gharamallah Al-Zahrani, a faculty member at Umm Al-Qura University, presented certificates, medals, and badges to 50 Cubs, Scouts, Rovers, Leaders, and Guides representing the Makkah Youth Scouts Team under the Neighborhood Centers Association.
The awards were granted by Evin Riley, Director of the Global Messengers of Peace Scouting Organization (USA), in recognition of the team’s exceptional efforts and active participation in the Virtual World Scout Jamboree (Minecraft), where they contributed significantly to the success of its programs and activities.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Fahd Abdulkarim Turkistani, Director of Environmental Affairs at the World Muslim Scout and Youth Union and Advisor to the Arab Union for Crisis, Emergency, and Disaster Management, alongside businessman Abdulrazaq Ahmed Sadiq Falatah, veteran scout Sidi Mubarak Al-Otaibi from the Taif Scout Pioneers Office, Khalid Bakr Sontli, and numerous media, educational, cultural, sports, community, and scouting figures.
Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Abnudi, Regional Director of the World Messengers of Peace Organization for the Arab States and International Scout Commissioner, emphasized that this recognition reflects the Organization’s appreciation for the Makkah Youth Scouts Team’s continued dedication, innovative initiatives, and community service. He highlighted their distinguished contributions in serving the people and dignitaries of Makkah, as well as pilgrims and visitors, and their ongoing commitment to promoting cooperation, fraternity, compassion, and cultural exchange among communities and participants.
