Nissan Wraps Up a Thrilling First Round of the 2025 Nissan Tat’ees Championship in the Eastern Province

Nissan Saudi Arabia concluded the first round of the 2025 Nissan Tat’ees Championship on Friday at Half Moon Bay in Dammam, under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF). The event drew a large audience and featured strong participation from motorsport and desert adventure enthusiasts.
The opening round marked a powerful start to the new season, as Nissan Saudi Arabia continues to elevate Tatees from a local passion into a professional motorsport discipline through an event that combines thrilling performance with precise technical standards. The competition showcased a diverse range of categories, including modified and stock vehicles (4, 6, and 8 cylinder), alongside ATVs, UTVs, and motorcycles classes, reflecting the diversity and energy of Saudi Arabia’s motorsport scene.
Held over two action-packed days, the event began with administrative checks, scrutineering, and the announcement of the final participant list, followed by practice runs allowing participants to fine-tune their vehicles on the sandy Half Moon course. The second day saw the official race runs take place amid high excitement and intense competition, where drivers showcased their skill, speed, and control on a two-kilometer course featuring three sand dunes and several curved sections that demanded precision, balance, and vehicle mastery.
At the end of the round, Adib Takieddine, Managing Director of Nissan Saudi Arabia, awarded the winners following an impressive display of performance across all categories. The official results of the first round were as follows:
• Motorcycle (Over 250cc): Abdulhalim Almogheera – First in Category
• ATV (Under 450cc): Mohammed Yousef – First in his Category
• ATV (Over 450cc): Abdulaziz Alatawi – First in his Category
• Stock 4-Cylinder: Anas Al-Oboud – First in his Category
• Stock 6-Cylinder: Jaber Mohammed – First in his Category
• Stock 8-Cylinder: Abdulaziz Al-Yaeesh – First in his Category
• Modified 8-Cylinder: Mohammed Hadi Al-Barqi – First in his Category
Overall standings for the first round:
Abdulaziz Al-Yaeesh ranked first in the Stock 8-Cylinder category, followed by Jaber Mohammed in second place (Stock 6-Cylinder) and Mohammed Hadi Al-Barqi in third (Modified 8-Cylinder). The top winners from this round will advance directly to the final championship round in Hail, where top drivers from all rounds will compete for the season title.
The second round of the championship is set to take place in Bahra, Jeddah, on November 14–15, continuing the series mission to strengthen the presence of desert motorsports across the Kingdom and attract more local talent and fans.
