In line with the objectives of Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia recognises its true wealth lies in the potential of its younger generation and is committed to equipping them with the skills and training required to become leaders across all fields, from science and technology to the creative industries.
IFS Jeddah supports by providing a platform for the next generation of designers to develop their talents, collaborate with global brands, and contribute to shaping the country’s future as a regional hub for creative industries and innovation.
“We are committed to fostering a vibrant and innovative design culture in Saudi Arabia,” said Dr. Sumayah Al-Solaiman, CEO of the Architecture and Design Commission. “The Interiors & Furniture Show Jeddah serves as a vital platform to celebrate creativity, nurture young talent, and advance Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of positioning the Kingdom as a global hub for design and architecture. Through this collaboration, we aim to inspire the next generation of designers and drive sustainable innovation within the industry.”
As Jeddah’s first exhibition focused on interiors and furniture, IFS highlights cutting-edge trends, celebrates innovation, and fosters collaboration across the design community. A key initiative of the event is the launch of the “What IFS?” Student Activation Programme, which offers final-year interior design students a rare opportunity to gain real-world experience.
As part of IFS Jeddah, students from three Jeddah-based universities – Dar Al-Hekma University, Jeddah International College, and King Abdulaziz University – will collaborate with leading brands Al Guthmi, Elegant Home, and Siera Light to create three innovative design installations.
Guided by distinguished design mentors, including Sultan Yaghmour, a Saudi architect and the founder of Realm Design; Jawaher Al Moarawi, an award-winning interior architect renowned for her bold and eclectic designs; and celebrated Saudi interior designer Iman Abuljadayel, the initiative highlights the Kingdom’s commitment to nurturing young talent. These unique creations, set to be unveiled during the event, exemplify Saudi Arabia’s dedication to inspiring and empowering the next generation of designers.
Reflecting on her involvement, Abuljadayel said: “Participating in the student activation initiative at the Interiors & Furniture Show Jeddah has been a rewarding experience. As a mentor, it is a privilege to guide aspiring designers, offering them real-world exposure and empowering them to excel in their field. Platforms such as IFS Jeddah play a vital role in bridging the gap between education and professional practice, fostering a new generation of creative talent.”
