Mohammad Abunayyan, Founder & Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power, extends his heartfelt congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the people of Saudi Arabia, on the momentous occasion of the Kingdom’s 94th National Day.

Celebrated under the theme “We dream, we achieve”, Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day marks nearly a century of socioeconomic development and technological advancements in the Kingdom. This day is a reflection of the collective spirit and vision that have shaped a nation, driving it towards new horizons of innovation and prosperity. For ACWA Power, this day is not only a moment of pride but a deep reaffirmation of its role in the Kingdom’s inspiring water & energy transition journey.

These achievements have been made possible by the guidance of the Kingdom’s leadership and the dedication of leaders such as His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al-Saud, Minister of Energy, and His Excellency Engineer Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen AlFadley, Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA).

“This day is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s remarkable journey of progress and global leadership,” said Abunayyan. “We join citizens and residents in celebrating the spirit of unity and ambition that defines our nation. As a proud Saudi national champion, ACWA Power is honoured to play a part in this inspiring story by supporting the Kingdom’s ambitious decarbonisation goals.”

By 2030, Saudi Arabia is aiming to produce 50% of its electricity from renewable energy sources, a target being made possible by the National Renewable Energy Programme (NREP) that aims to maximise the potential of renewable energy in the Kingdom. ACWA Power is working with the Public Investment Fund (PIF) to deliver 70% of NREP.

“As a Saudi company, we are immensely proud to support the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030. We believe that by investing in Saudi talent and ingenuity, we are not only building a brighter future for our company, but for the nation as a whole,” said Abunayyan.
