The award enhances competition across all automotive sectors in the Kingdom and addresses all segments of society and car enthusiasts.
The organizing committee of the National Automotive Sector Award announced a 140% increase in the number of nominations and participations in the 12th season of the award campaign. This increase is supported by the National Committee of Car Dealers and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, confirming their commitment to enhancing competition across all automotive sectors by continuing education and supporting inclusivity in this important economic sector.
The last season of the award campaign included the addition of several special awards, especially those related to electric cars and new initiatives in the motorsport sector, which has seen significant development recently. There was also a focus on the women’s sector, which contributes to the fields of automobiles and sustainability, and the media, to honor their achievements with this award.
In this context, Walid Qarnouh, the Secretary-General of the award, said: “This pioneering award has achieved remarkable growth in supporting and empowering the automotive sector in general, striving to take advantage of opportunities in STEM education and motorsports in all its branches.”
It is noteworthy that the award, now in its 12th year, has had a positive impact on several sectors, especially the automotive sector and those interested in this field. The response has been positive concerning the activities of the dealers in the Kingdom. The voting phase for the newly nominated categories for 2024, which number more than 12 categories, will begin next July and continue for three months. The voting process will then halt to focus on the categories that have qualified for the final stage, with the official results to be announced at the closing ceremony next November.
