APSCO sponsors the Arab Air Carriers Organization’s (AACO) Fuel Forum in its 11th Edition

The eleventh edition of the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO) Fuel Forum, held in Jeddah

was successfully concluded powered by APSCO.

The forum aimed to promote sustainability and address climate concerns by presenting innovative solutions for zero emissions.

This year’s forum centred on the aviation industry’s commitment to sustainability, particularly in the use of sustainable, low-carbon aviation fuel.

Discussions also revolved around the utilization of renewable energies and advanced delivery technologies to mitigate the environmental impact of civil aviation activities.

The forum assessed the current state and future potential of these initiatives, as well as the necessary measures for their implementation.

Furthermore, the development of renewable energy sources required to achieve the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 received significant attention, including the exploration of cutting-edge technological advancements and future requirements.

Dr. Azzam Qari, CEO of APSCO, emphasized the company’s dedication to efficiency and the implementation of advanced systems in aircraft refuelling services within the Kingdom. He expressed the aspiration to achieve zero emissions by 2050.

In addition, the forum addressed the influence of business technology and the latest industry trends on the aviation sector.

It focused on current challenges and highlighted the utilization of recent improvements and innovations to expedite the recovery process and enhance overall industry performance.

The forum discussed with the Kingdom’s rapid advancements, particularly in safety measures, including operating systems and aircraft fuel handling and other pertinent information which benefitted attendees in their line of business.

Said event attendees included representatives from The Kingdom’s Ministry of Energy and civil aviation as well as delegates from the regional airlines,

global aviation fuel suppliers, aircraft manufacturers, airport companies, and various other stakeholders in the industry.

In accordance with Saudi Vision 2030 and the objectives of the national strategy for the aviation sector, APSCO aimed to elevate and strengthen operational safety at the Kingdom’s airports—a significant priority for the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority.
