Stellantis Continues ‘Stop Drive’ Awareness Campaign for Certain Vehicles Equipped with Takata Airbags

  • ‘Stop Drive’ notice applies to certain Opel, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, Jeep® and RAM vehicles manufactured between 2003 and 2018
  • Preventive measures taken following global safety assessments related to Takata airbag inflators
  • Free repairs available through authorized service centers across the Middle East

Stellantis Middle East is continuing its customer safety awareness campaign regarding vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflators, reminding owners of certain Opel, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, Jeep® and RAM models to check their website status and complete the recall repair as soon as possible.

As part of this campaign, ‘Stop Drive’ notice has been issued for a specific group of higher-risk vehicles previously identified under the global Takata airbag recall. Owners are advised not to drive the vehicle until the required repair is completed and are urged to contact the nearest Dealer to repair the vehicle free of cost

Takata airbag inflators may degrade over time, particularly in hot and humid climates. In rare cases, a ruptured inflator can project metal fragments during a collision, posing a risk of serious injury to vehicle occupants.
