AUC’s Tahrir CultureFest 2026 to Spotlight AI, Innovation, and Cairo’s Cultural Future
The American University in Cairo is set to host the third edition of AUC Tahrir CultureFest from April 2 to 4, 2026, at its historic Tahrir Square campus, under the theme “Future C-AI-RO.” This year’s edition will explore how tradition and technology are shaping Cairo’s future, through discussions spanning artificial intelligence, innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and the arts.
The festival will bring together members of the AUC community alongside a distinguished group of writers, speakers, artists, and public figures. The program features a wide range of activities, including panel discussions, exhibitions, downtown walking tours, live performances, a book fair, a bazaar, and a dedicated children’s program.
One of the festival’s key highlights will be the launch of TEDx AUC Tahrir Square under the theme “Human Forward.” The event will feature speakers from architecture, business, psychology, and the creative arts, examining how human-centered innovation is helping shape the next phase of development and redefine the digital landscape.
AUC said the annual festival celebrates Cairo’s rich cultural, artistic, and intellectual heritage, while also underscoring the city’s global relevance. Since its launch in 2024, Tahrir CultureFest has attracted thousands of visitors and brought together diverse communities, artists, academics, and thought leaders through a multidisciplinary program focused on Cairo’s history, innovation, and creativity.
