Google Launches Lyria 3 for music tracks in Arabic

  • Create Ramadan’s audio greetings in Arabic (beta version) using Google Gemini
  • Design Ramadan’s personalized greeting cards using NanoBanana on Gemini

Google announced the launch of Lyria 3, Google DeepMind’s latest generative music model, available in Arabic (beta version) around the world. Lyria 3 will be accessible to all users on Google Gemini website, and gradually on mobile over the next few days.

People can just describe what they want to hear, like “an upbeat, modern Arabic fusion track for Ramadan”, and in a matter of seconds, Gemini will translate the prompt into a high-quality track. The track length is 30 seconds, and is available to all Gemini users.

Lyria 3 model can be activated in three formats;

  • Text to tracks: Describe a specific genre or mood to create unique tracks with lyrics or instrumental audio that fits the vibe. An example is: “Create a track about my favorite meal my mom used to make, it was made of rice and beans. Surprise me!”
  • From photos and videos to tracks: Upload a photo or video and watch Gemini use the content to compose a track with lyrics that fit the mood perfectly. “Use these photos to create a track about my cat Katkoot on a hike in the mountains.”

The Gemini app creates 30-second tracks with custom cover art generated by Nano Banana. This makes it easy to quickly share with friends by downloading or simply clicking the share link. The goal of these tracks isn’t to create a musical masterpiece, but rather to give you a unique way to express yourself.

All tracks generated in the Gemini app are embedded with SynthID, Google’s imperceptible watermark for identifying Google AI-generated content. Google is also offering more tools to help identify AI content, including audio. People can upload a file and ask if it was generated using Google AI, and Gemini will check for SynthID and use its own reasoning to return a response.

Music generation with Lyria 3 is designed for original expression, not for mimicking existing artists. If someone’s prompt names a specific artist, Gemini will take this as broad creative inspiration and create a track that shares a similar style or mood. Google Gemini also has filters in place to check outputs against existing content.
