The ceremony opens weeks of celebrations leading up to Armenian Christmas on 6 January, a time when the capital takes on a cinematic glow.
Each December, Yerevan transforms into a winter postcard. Streets lined with warm golden lights reflect against crisp evening skies, while the city’s cafés and restaurants release the unmistakable aromas of traditional soups, spiced teas, slow-cooked meats and festive pastries.
