Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Sarhan Honored by the Italian National Olympic Committee

The Italian National Olympic Committee has honored His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Ahmed Sarhan, Special Advisor, International Delegate, and Director of the Muslim World League Office in Italy, in recognition of the office’s notable efforts in promoting culture, sports, dialogue, and humanitarian initiatives across Italy.
Dr. Sarhan received a commemorative shield from the President of the Committee, Mr. Pucciano Bonfiglio, as a gesture of appreciation for the role played by the Muslim World League in fostering cultural understanding and strengthening human values. In return, Dr. Sarhan presented the Committee President with the League’s honorary shield, reflecting the spirit of cooperation between the two sides.
The Italian National Olympic Committee expressed its interest in establishing a collaborative relationship with the Muslim World League in the fields of youth and sports, emphasizing the importance of these sectors in enhancing coexistence and building bridges between communities.
In his address, Dr. Sarhan extended his gratitude for the warm reception and generous hospitality, and invited the Committee’s President and members to visit the League’s headquarters in Rome to learn more about its programs and initiatives.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of presidents of Italian sports federations, representatives from various ministries, and members of the Italian Parliament. A special moment during the event was the presence of Dr. Ayman Abdulaziz Sarhan, a faculty member at Umm Al-Qura University, who happened to be in Rome visiting his father.
