In this context, Mr. Ali Al-Sagri, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Leejam, visited the headquarters of the Saudi Academy of Sports Sciences in Riyadh, where he met with trainees enrolled in the National Training-for-Employment Program, launched by Leejam in partnership with the Academy in Q4 2024. More than 250 male and female participants are currently undergoing intensive training to become certified Fitness Time trainers, following world-class standards that prepare them to immediately join the workforce upon graduation.
During the visit, Mr. Al-Sagri stated: “At Leejam Sports, we believe that Saudi youth are the cornerstone of the future of the fitness and sports industry. Through our training-for-employment programs, we are strategically investing in building their capabilities so they can serve as ambassadors of the quality and expertise that Fitness Time delivers. This initiative reflects our clear commitment to supporting Vision 2030 by empowering national sports talent and contributing to the creation of a healthier and more vibrant society.”
Mr. Al-Sagri extended his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their continued investment in and support of the Kingdom’s sports sector, as well as their efforts to enable a healthier, more active, and prosperous society. He also directed the Academy’s amanagemnt to provide all necessary support to ensure trainees are fully prepared to join the workforce after graduation, and discussed expanding future groups, including enabling trainees outside Riyadh to benefit from Fitness Time clubs across the Kingdom, ensuring equal training opportunities nationwide.
The program is a voluntary initiative by Leejam, despite there being no mandatory requirements for the localization of sports training professions. This reflects the company’s proactive approach and its leadership role in creating a new generation of qualified Saudi trainers. Leejam Sports affirms its ongoing commitment to investing in national human capital and expanding its training programs, strengthening its position as the leader of Saudi Arabia’s fitness industry and a key driver of the sector’s growth and development locally and regionally.
