Xx July, 2025: As the ABB FIA Formula E Championship Season 11 races toward its finale, Petromin celebrates the Nissan Formula E Team’s remarkable performance and demonstrates how electric mobility and high-performance motorsport are driving towards a sustainable future.
These achievements were crowned by Oliver Rowland securing the 2024/2025 Formula E World Champion title, after an impressive streak of four race victories in the first nine races. His winning momentum placed him firmly at the top of the leaderboard, making Nissan the first Japanese brand to ever claim this prestigious global title. Petromin plays a leading role in supporting the Nissan Formula E Team through its subsidiary, Electromin, which specializes in electric mobility solutions. This strategic support was instrumental in enabling the team to secure key wins and consistently reach the podium. Highlights of the season include Rowland’s first-place finishes at the race in Petromin’s home city of Jeddah in February and in Nissan’s home country at the Tokyo E-Prix in May.
Commenting on the team’s success, Kalyana Sivagnanam, Group CEO of Petromin Corporation, expressed pride in the ongoing collaboration with Nissan Formula E throughout the 2024/2025 season. “This partnership shows Petromin’s commitment to advancing electric motorsports and championing sustainable innovation, fully aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030,” he said.
Tommaso Volpe, Managing Director and Team Principal of the Nissan Formula E Team, added: “We’re pleased to arrive in London having already won the drivers’ title and in strong contention for the other two championships, which was one of our targets for this season. We’re also happy to welcome Norman back after he missed the last round. We have great memories at this track, having won the last race here with Oliver. Both he and Norman have done well at this circuit in the past and, with Oli already World Champion, we can be aggressive and put our full focus on securing maximum points for the team. The gaps won’t be easy to overturn, but I have full confidence in our engineers and drivers, and we’re ready to give it our all to come out on top.”
Petromin continues to showcase the leading role of electric motorsport in shaping a sustainable future. The company views the sport as a key driver of innovation and environmental responsibility, fully aligned with its commitment to supporting the transition to electric mobility and empowering the next generation of clean energy solutions.
