Honda Saudi Arabia Shines at Taif Hill Climb Opener

Honda Saudi Arabia Motorsport Team (HSMS) kicked off the first round of the Saudi Toyota Hill Climb race with a strong performance. The event took place on Friday and Saturday, May 27-28, 2025, at Aqabat Al Muhammadiyah in Taif city. The race featured exciting competition among elite drivers from across the Kingdom, and the Honda team achieved impressive results, reflecting their high level of readiness.

Enas Hamza Excels, Securing Two Advanced Positions

All eyes were on the champion, Captain Enas Hamza, who delivered an exceptional performance behind the wheel of a Honda Civic Sport. Captain Enas proved her prowess by securing second place in the 5A category in a strong competition against young male drivers, recording a time of (2:12.530), just three seconds and fractions of a second behind the first-place finisher. Her brilliance didn’t stop there; she also achieved second place in the women’s category, confirming her strong presence in Saudi motorsport.

Captain Enas expressed her delight with the results, stating: “I am very happy with the results we achieved today. The competition was tough, and the track was a real challenge. I am proud to represent the Honda Saudi Arabia team, and we look forward to more achievements in the upcoming rounds, God willing.”

Bandar Al-Sulami Leads Before Unfortunate Accident

The round also witnessed a remarkable performance from the team leader, Captain Bandar Al-Sulami, who participated in a Honda Civic Type R in the 4A category. Captain Bandar managed to lead the first part of the race with a time of (1:06.546), but unfortunately, he was involved in a sudden accident in the second part of the race, preventing him from completing it.

Captain Bandar commented on the accident, saying: “Praise be to God in all circumstances. We were leading the race until the last moment before the accident, which was beyond our control. However, my safety and everyone’s safety remain the top priority. Thanks to the support of our team and partners, we promise to come back stronger in the upcoming rounds.”
