Hyundai Motor Company elevated its IONIQ innovations by hosting a one-of-a-kind glamping experience at Camp IONIQ in the scenic desert of Al Ain, UAE.
Set against the backdrop of the UNESCO-recognized Jebel Hafit Desert Park, Camp IONIQ emphasized Hyundai’s commitment to preserving natural and cultural legacies in a journey that merged cutting-edge technology with sustainable living, all powered by IONIQ.
For two unforgettable days, guests from the travel, adventure, automotive, and lifestyle sectors were fully immersed in a desert camping experience that highlighted Hyundai’s vision for eco-friendly mobility.
The event was powered by the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology of the all-electric IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6, which allowed the vehicles to function as mobile power sources, supplying electricity to devices and appliances like camping equipment and lighting, making off-grid living more sustainable and convenient.
“Camp IONIQ was designed to showcase how seamlessly electric vehicles can integrate into the lives of our customers.

Camp IONIQ: A Journey into Sustainability and Innovation
Participants began their journey by picking up their IONIQ vehicles and camping kits from the Juma Al-Majid Hyundai UAE latest 3S facility Showroom in Sharjah, receiving briefings on the vehicle features, driving routes, and safety precautions.

The journey to the campsite highlighted the impressive battery range and advanced technology of the IONIQ 5 and 6, with the stunning desert landscapes providing a perfect backdrop for capturing content.
Built on Hyundai’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), both models delivered outstanding electric performance and driving pleasure, offering faster charging, extended range, enhanced interior space, and superior handling.
Upon arrival, the glowing IONIQ vehicles illuminated the camp, setting the stage for the IONIQ Moment—a breathtaking synchronized light projection show powered by the IONIQ models.
The experience continued with a supper club featuring a curated menu, followed by video games projected onto the sand dunes. The evening concluded with a magical stargazing and astrophotography session.
