Saudi Anime ‘Asateer2: Future’s Folktales’ Flies Over Tokyo’s Sky Amid Japanese Media Celebration

Manga Productions, a subsidiary of Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk” celebrated the premiere of the second season of the anime series “Future’s Folktales” in Tokyo, Japan.

The event drew notable attendees from global Japanese companies, Japanese media professionals and Arab ambassadors to Japan, who were thoroughly impressed with the series.

The famous voice actress Ms. Masako Nozawa delivered a special speech, expressing her pride in participating in the project and emphasizing the significance of this artistic collaboration between the two cultures.

The premiere garnered extensive media coverage from a wide array of Japanese outlets, including the leading economic news program World Business Satellite, which aired a special feature about the event on national television in Tokyo.

Many other media platforms focused on creative, cultural, and economic sectors also covered the premiere.

Commenting on the premiere in Japan, Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, said, “Today, we are honored to witness this recognition with the presence of numerous ambassadors, officials, and global partners.

The second season of “Future’s Folktales” is scheduled to stream on “Shahid” and broadcast on “MBC1” TV channel in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) every Friday at 5:00 PM KSA time, starting from November 1, 2024. Additionally, it is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on “TV Tokyo” starting from November 3, 2024, every Sunday at 7:00 AM Japan time offering audiences across various regions the opportunity to experience this remarkable work.

Notably, the availability of the series extends beyond Japan and the Middle East to reach audiences across five continents reinforcing the global reach of Arab content and underscoring Manga Productions’ commitment to bringing Saudi culture and creativity to the world stage.
