Khaleej Times Adopts VeraViews

VeraViews, an end-to-end ecosystem for transparent advertising, has announced a strategic partnership with Khaleej Times to power and optimise its digital advertising operations through the integration of VeraPlayer, Proof of Traffic (PoT), and other proprietary technologies and services.

Founded in 1978 as the UAE’s first English-language daily newspaper, Khaleej Times has evolved into one of the leading and most trusted multimedia platforms in the region. With over 8 million monthly users, it leads the UAE’s digital media landscape. Headquartered in Dubai, Khaleej Times delivers comprehensive coverage of local, regional, and international news, with a particular emphasis on the UAE. Its extensive reach across digital, print, and social channels makes it a trusted source for millions across the Gulf region.

Through this partnership, VeraViews will support Khaleej Times to elevate its platform to a premium standard – enhancing user experience, transparency and ad performance. VeraViews will support a comprehensive optimisation of Khaleej Time’s digital advertising infrastructure beginning with a domain audit to identify key opportunities for improvement.

As part of the rollout, Khaleej Times will exclusively deploy VeraPlayer, a fully customisable video player designed for premium ad environments with a built-in patented Proof of View (PoV) technology, enabling impression-level verification of real user engagement. In parallel, Khaleej Times will integrate Proof of Traffic (PoT), VeraViews’ proprietary domain-level IVT (fraud) detection solution. Together, these technologies will enhance user experience and strengthen the credibility of Khaleej Times’ video inventory for brands worldwide.

VeraViews will also support Khaleej Times to expand its premium video inventory aligning it with the standards required to attract global, high-value advertisers. By focusing on the premium ad placement principles, such as mobile-first design, seamless user experience, and brand-safety, this partnership sets the foundation for long-term, sustainable growth in video ad revenue.

Charles Yardley, Chief Executive Officer of Khaleej Times, commented: “As media consumption habits evolve at record pace, video—especially on mobile—has become the dominant way our audiences engage with content. Partnering with Vera Views enables us to deliver a seamless, high-quality video experience while driving greater efficiency and transparency in our digital advertising efforts.

This collaboration not only supports our ongoing push into premium video at scale but also opens the door to a wealth of new advertisers and stronger CPMs. We’re excited to take this next step as we continue to lead in mobile-first content delivery across the region.”

Olena Buyan, Chief Product Officer at VeraViews, added: “This partnership goes beyond technical integration -it sets a new benchmark for digital advertising in the UAE. By combining VeraViews’ advanced video and IVT detection technologies with Khaleej Times’ trusted digital reach, we’re building a more accountable and transparent advertising ecosystem.”

As the demand for video-first, transparent ad tech surges, the partnership between Khaleej Times and VeraViews demonstrates the region’s appetite for innovation. Both companies are deeply rooted in the UAE—Khaleej Times as a leading media voice and VeraViews as a NextGen FDI-backed business based in Dubai Media City— making the collaboration strategic both in market positioning and geographic alignment.

The announcement follows VeraViews’ recent launch of a comprehensive advertising supply chain—Ad Trace, with new additions to its product suite that unify the ad journey into one transparent pipeline, where every participant, impression, and transaction is traceable, verified, auditable and AML compliant.
