In an era where water scarcity is a pressing global concern, Aqualia has taken significant strides in supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030.

As a global leader in water management, our commitment to innovation and sustainability aligns perfectly with the Kingdom’s goals to ensure water security and improve the quality of life for its citizens.

Since establishing our presence in Saudi Arabia in 2011, Aqualia has been dedicated to providing advanced water solutions that meet the unique challenges of the region. Our role extends beyond mere infrastructure; we are partners in progress, contributing to the nation’s sustainable development.

Supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030

Vision 2030 is a bold initiative aimed at diversifying the Saudi economy and reducing its dependence on oil.

Water management is a critical component of this vision, given the arid climate and limited freshwater resources. Aqualia’s expertise in water desalination, wastewater treatment, and sustainable water use positions us as a vital player in this transformative journey.

In partnership with local entities such as the National Water Company or Bahri, Aqualia has embarked on several key projects that underscore our commitment to excellence and innovation.

Our state-of-the-art desalination plants provide more than 1 million cubic meters per day of potable water daily, serving millions of residents and alleviating the strain on natural freshwater sources.

Additionally, our wastewater treatment facilities are designed to recycle and reuse water, significantly reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainability.

Ensuring Water Availability During Hajj

One of the most critical periods for water management in Saudi Arabia is the Hajj season. Every year, millions of pilgrims from around the world converge on Mecca, necessitating a robust and reliable water supply.

Aqualia takes immense pride in supporting the Kingdom during this time, ensuring that the needs of pilgrims are met efficiently and effectively.

Our operations during Hajj involve a comprehensive approach to water distribution and management. We deploy additional resources and technologies to ensure uninterrupted water supply and maintain stringent quality standards.

Our dedicated teams work round-the-clock to monitor and manage water systems, ensuring that every pilgrim has access to safe and clean water.

In recent years, Aqualia has implemented innovative solutions which has enhanced our capacity to manage the high demand during Hajj.

These efforts are a testament to our commitment to excellence and our unwavering support for the Kingdom’s most significant annual event.

Excellence in management for more than 8 million Saudis

In 2022, Aqualia started the Management and O&M contracts of the end-to-end water cycle of the North and South clusters.

Working hand in hand with the NWC and as the leader of two international consortiums, Aqualia is managing water resources and sanitation of a total of eight million Saudis in the North Cluster (provinces of Qassim, Hail, Al-Jouf and Northern Border) and South Cluster (provinces of Asir, Baha, Najran and Jazan).

With these contracts, executed by multidisciplinary teams of experts, management optimization is being achieved with the ultimate goal of achieving social, environmental and economic sustainability of the end to end water cycle in the kingdom.

Future Prospects and Continued Commitment

Looking ahead, Aqualia remains dedicated to expanding our footprint in Saudi Arabia and continuing to support its water management goals.

We are actively exploring new technologies and methodologies that can further enhance water security and sustainability in the region.

Our commitment to Saudi Arabia is not just professional but deeply personal. We believe in the vision of a prosperous, sustainable future for the Kingdom, and we are honored to play a role in achieving it.

Through collaboration, innovation, and an unwavering dedication to excellence, Aqualia will continue to support Saudi Arabia in its journey towards a sustainable and water-secure future.

As we move forward, we invite all stakeholders to join us in this mission. Together, we can create a legacy of sustainable water management that benefits not only Saudi Arabia but the entire world.
