AviLease hosts first Aviation Academic Day in partnership with Prince Sultan University to support development of national talent in the Saudi aerospace ecosystem

  • Over 200 students from different majors attended inspirational event introducing the scope and future of the aviation industry in the Kingdom.

AviLease, the rising global aircraft lessor wholly owned by PIF, Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, has hosted its first Aviation Academic Day at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh.

The event gave over 200 students from a variety of majors a stimulating introduction to the vast extent of the aviation industry and the potential opportunities within it, with presentations covering aircraft leasing, finance and legal aspects, the future of aviation, aviation and tourism, opportunities and challenges for women and human capital and resources in aviation.

As well as senior executives from AviLease and PSU, the event welcomed expert industry insight presented by representatives from Boeing, Airbus, Flynas, The Helicopter Company, Riyadh Airports Company and GACA.

The Aviation Academic day is part of the strategic MOU between AviLease and Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, to support the development of a skilled national workforce for the Saudi aviation sector.
