Al Duailej: The “APSCO” initiative enhances the level of safety in the aviation sector.

His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, participated in the initiative of the Arabian Petroleum Supply Company “APSCO” to enhance safety in aviation fuel handling and systems operations, knowing that such initiative affects enhancing the level of safety in the aviation sector in the Kingdom and all over the world.
Al-Duailej praised the “Safety 2023” forum organized by APSCO recently to discuss the main issues and common challenges facing the Saudi aviation sector and he praised the great effort made by the team, and their keenness to reach the goals of the strategy of the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom, including the keeping zero accidents, deaths and, emissions.
Moreover, he stressed on the Authority’s keenness to support such initiatives and encourage their continuation and growth, in our belief that the growth of this industry and the achievement of our goals require joint action to meet challenges, and focus on innovation in achieving the highest levels of safety and quality.
The Arabian Petroleum Supply Company (APSCO) recently organized the “Safety 2023” forum for the operation of aviation fuel handling systems, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, and a number of specialists in the relevant government and private sectors.
The forum dealt with many issues and challenges that included the legislation and regulations of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and the aviation industry, as well as a visual presentation on APSCO’s application of quality and safety legislation and regulations, and a visual presentation of the Aviation Investigation Office regarding aviation accident statistics, in addition to a presentation on global statistics in this field.
The “APSCO” forum kept pace with the rapid development in the Kingdom concerning the issue of safety, especially in the field of operating systems and aircraft fuel handling, based on Saudi Vision 2030 and in line with the objectives of the national strategy for the aviation sector to raise and enhance the level of operational safety at the Kingdom’s airports, which is one of the most important priorities of the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority.
