The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has announced the conclusion of the “Move with Us” initiative in the city of Abha. The announcement was made in the presence of close to 1,000 participants, eight months after the launch of “Move with Us”. The initiative, which started its activities from Makkah Al-Mukarramah, visited 13 Saudi cities in various regions of the Kingdom, including Yanbu, Tabuk, AlUla, and Jazan. As well as Al-Madinah, Hail, Riyadh, Al-Khobar, Jeddah, Al Ahsa, Albahah and Abha.

The initiative succeeded in attracting approximately 15,000 male and female participants — citizens and residents of all ages. It provided people and families the opportunity to socialize and get active by walking and running distances ranging from 1 to 5 km, and cycling for a distance of 10-14 km. Providing a welcome and encouraging space for participants to explore their passion for outdoor physical activities, the initiative made history by attracting the largest number of individuals who do not practice physical activities to take part in a selection of sporting events and  competitions.

Fully aligned with the Quality of Life Program and Vision 2030, “Move with Us” was established to empower more people and communities to lead healthy, active lives. It aims to help raise physical activity levels by 2030 and transform the Kingdom into a thriving sports hub.

The initiative raises awareness of the importance of sports and physical exercise to improving health and wellbeing, safeguarding society, and creating even more productive community members. Crucially, it sets out to be as accessible as possible, also serving people with special needs.

Ultimately, “Move with Us” was created to champion humanitarian causes and be a force for social good, creating an affirming environment for all people — Saudis and non-Saudis alike — to socialize, learn more about each other and adopt healthy lifestyle habits. It promotes competition and prioritizes inclusion, ensuring women and men are provided access to equal opportunities.
