Jetour shines at 2023 Shanghai Auto Show with its latest achievements and kicks off accelerated ‘expansion’ overseas.
The 2023 Shanghai Auto Show is now open from April 18-27, 2023. The up-and-coming Chinese SUV brand Jetour is introducing several models in the auto show, including the DASHING i-DM, Jetour T2, and Jetour T3 concept vehicles, and holding an international press conference during the auto show. More than 200 partners and media representatives from the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, Asia-Pacific and other regions have been invited to the event.
In recent years, the international competitiveness of Chinese automotive brands has increased significantly, and the Chinese automotive industry has successfully implemented its ability to move from “manufacturing” to “creation.” According to the statistics of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China exported 3.11 million cars in 2022, up 54% year-on-year, surpassing Germany for the first time and becoming the world’s second largest automotive exporter.
Chinese automotive brands are deeply involved in global competition, and Jetour is an example of rapid growth, achieving 700,000 sales in 55 months. Jetour embarked on a global journey in 2019, establishing over 400 sales and service locations in more than 35 countries and regions in the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, Asia-Pacific and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). By 2022, Jetour has become the emerging SUV brand with the most overseas sales and the second-fastest growing auto exporter in China.
Jetour T2: Expected to be launched globally this year 2023
The T2 is Jetour new flagship for 2023 and has attracted a lot of attention at the Shanghai auto show. It has a muscular design style with sharp lines and angles that exude rugged beauty. The interior of the vehicle features sleek yet powerful elements that match the exterior design. Kunpeng Power comes standard on the Jetour T2 series, which also includes the oil-powered and PHEV versions providing a more economical and efficient travel experience. Designed for all terrains and different types of roads, the Jetour T2 is equipped with the latest 4 WD system from Borg Warner, which maximizes the performance of the all-wheel drive system in different driving modes to provide users with a better driving experience. Jetour states that the Jetour T2 is scheduled for global launch later this year.
Jetour T3: The ultimate off-road power
The brand new Jetour T3 concept vehicle also made its debut on the same stage. It features a non-load-bearing body that better adapts to complex off-road conditions, increasing its off-road capability and improving its durability.
On the road to new energy: DASHING i-DM is leading the way.
At the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, Jetour is also unveiling its first vehicle with a green license plate: the 2023 DASHING i-DM. This model is equipped with the dual-motor drive system, the first for a Chinese brand, and has a range of over 1,000 km. It produces a combined output of 240 kW and 545 Nm of torque, giving drivers an even more exciting experience. The new vehicle also has a standard 3,000-watt charging capacity for other devices, making outdoor travel even more enjoyable.
2023 is the year Jetour taps into the HEV segment. Following the launch of DASHING i-DM, the brand will fully embrace new energy, aiming for all models to obtain a green license plate in China by 2024, while expanding into international markets.
