Saudi Sports for All Federation Launches Second Edition of Youth Tournaments & Games and Beach games “Active” in cities and beaches across the Kingdom

(Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) gulftech – The Saudi Sports for All Federation announced the launch of the “Active” program, which will be running for eight months, starting from August 2022 until March 2023, with 8 different activities divided into 5 activities in public places and 3 activities in beaches in several different cities. It targets youth under the age of 18 and their families. The program aims to increase community participation in sports, improve health and physical fitness, and enhance social cohesion, in addition to achieving the objectives of the “Quality of Life” program, one of the most important programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, Managing Director of the Saudi Sports for All Federation, said: “We are pleased that by launching the “Active” program, we will make a forward step in our mission to help build a healthier and happier society. The program will revitalize our efforts to make health and wellness at the forefront of our concerns and contribute significantly to achieving our goal of raising the level of weekly sports and physical activities in the Kingdom to 40% by 2030.”

Active program will be held in seven different cities across the Kingdom, starting in Al Baha, Baljurashi Governorate, in “Baljurashi National Park”, starting August 11, 2022, until August 26, 2022, where the tournaments’ part will include football, basketball and volleyball competitions, and games will include a variety of different sports under the supervision of a selection of coaches during the entire period.

The Saudi Sports for All Federation, within the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports, seeks to intensify its efforts to reach all members of society around the Kingdom. This was evident through many initiatives launched and implemented since the beginning of this year 2022, as the Saudi Sports for All Federation is the main entity to raise the percentage of physical activity for all residents to reach 40%, in order to achieve the objectives of the Quality of Life Program within the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
