Global biotechnology company Biogen opens a Technical Scientific Office in Saudi Arabia
Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia, gulftech – Biogen Inc. (Nasdaq: BIIB), one of the world’s first global biotechnology companies and pioneers in neuroscience, has announced the opening of its Technical Scientific Office in Saudi Arabia as part of plans to bring further scientific/medical support to serve patients and local stakeholders including healthcare practitioners, organizations and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
Further contributing to the standard of patient care, Biogen was a sponsor of the Saudi Pediatric Neurology Society 6th Annual Pediatric Neurology Conference, that was held in Jeddah from November 18 to 20,2021. Biogen shared the latest guidelines and best practices in pediatric neurology at special symposia at the conference. The team also actively participated in these sessions alongside leading pediatric neurologists from the Kingdom, to discuss important topics including ways to accelerate identification and management of the different types of SMA among patients.
Founded in 1978, Biogen has led pioneering scientific research for over four decades with the goal of addressing devastating neurological diseases. The Technical Scientific Office will provide the company with a base whilst working closely with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
